Insane Noise Machines
We have had a module change. One of my new modules is insane noise machines. We have been looking at lots of different instruments and we are choosing to make our own. We have started a portfolio slide so that we have a record of all our work. Check mine out! :)

The Department of Conservation
The last few weeks my Whangara class has been looking at organisations that are helping to make a difference all around New Zealand. I chose to do a slide presentation on DOC ( The Department of Conservation), at the moment DOC are trying to have a predator free NZ 2050. They want to rid NZ of pests such as rats, possums and stoats, (and so on). Here is my slide presentation on DOC. Enjoy! :)

ANZAC Day
In my Whangara class we were set some tasks we had to do two tasks of our choice I chose to make ANZAC biscuits with a twist and to read a book.
ANZAC Cookies
I made three different types of Anzac biscuits and I recorded which one my family enjoyed the most. I made some normal ones, some chocolate ones and some seed ones. The chocolate ones got three votes, the seed one's got one vote and the normal biscuits got one vote. Now I know that my family enjoys Anzac biscuits with chocolate drops.
Das Piano
I read a story called Das Piano. It was about a young boy at war with his teacher while his father is at war. The kids end up playing a game called ‘catch the german’ but when the teacher that the young boy is at war with catches them playing it she punishes them by making them sing in front of the mayor. They start singing along to a piano but they soon find out that the piano was made in Germany so the teacher and the mayor destroy it with an axe.
